Duties:

Responsible for the complete underwriting process – risk selection, evaluation/analysis, pricing, negotiation and sale of small to midsized Commercial risks, including overall account management. Is accountable for managing the assigned agency force, with a focus on new business production and growth, renewal retention, as well as on fostering agency relationships through sales and marketing efforts. This role requires independent judgment, underwriting acumen, discretion, and outcomes contributing to strategic business goals. 

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1 to 2 years or more commercial lines property and casualty underwriting technical experience required; previous sales experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, technical and sales background experience will be considered.
• Continuing education in insurance and job-related issues and subjects required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid Hawaii Driver’s license.
• Attainment of or working toward CPCU or other professional designation(s) preferred.

Salary Range:
$75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually
