Duties:
- Assists VP of Personal lines with developing metrics to measure and monitor individual and group sales performance. Calculates metrics on a monthly/quarterly basis to review with staff and management. Gives Sales Report at Sales meeting.
- Adjusts sales activities to increase sales. Evaluates sales activities and makes recommendation to emphasize/de-emphasize current sales activities to improve sales performance. Finds and develops new sales activities.
- Coaches and trains on sales related activities. Meets with sales staff to identify coaching and training needs. Provides and/or arranges for needed coaching /training on an individual or group basis. Identifies and communicates strengths and weaknesses in sales performance at year end and throughout the year.
- Responsible for developing referral business through COI’s (banks, lenders, realtors, mortgage bankers) and rounding out accounts with existing clients.
- Converts inquiry calls into new business. Explains coverage options, recommends coverage and completes necessary application forms/documents and quote premiums.
- Completes new business and all transactions in a professional manner that minimizes Atlas’ Errors and Omissions exposure. Offers all relevant coverage and coverage limits. Places coverage that client selects. Documents client’s rejection of coverage.
- Develops and maintains client relationships. Develops relationship with client during new business process. Works with AM to maintain and grow relationship.
- Services existing clients in a professional manner that minimizes Atlas’ Errors and Omissions exposure. Responsible for servicing and retaining an existing book of clients.
- Receives and processes client endorsement requests accurately and promptly.
- Conducts periodic risk analysis on every client. Reviews client’s insurance to validate that Atlas has offered the appropriate coverage and coverage limits.
- Resolves customer complaints in a professional efficient, manner.
- Processes transactions in Sagitta and with Carriers. Accurately and promptly enters new business, endorsement and cancellation policy data into Sagitta in accordance with Company policies and procedures or submits to insurance companies in accordance with each carrier’s requirements.
Supervisory
- Hires, supervises, counsels, disciplines, and terminates assigned staff as appropriate.
- Provides leadership, coaching and mentoring of staff. Is responsible for training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of policies.
- Communicates goals, objectives, accountabilities, priorities, and authority parameters to assigned staff.
Other
- Possesses a positive, service-oriented attitude towards agents, clients, insureds, and employees within the company.
- Must be knowledgeable and up-to-date on rates, forms and coverage changes through bulletins and circulars and maintain all insurance manual (rules, rates, procedures).
- Participates in seminars and classes for knowledge and professional development. Must participate in continuous education/learning program focused on personal lines/insurance.
- Assists other team members as needed to meet agency, team, and individual goals, and team leader.
Qualifications:
- College degree required.
- 5 years related experience and/or training required, and supervisory experience preferred.
- Combination of education, and job related experience equivalent will be considered.
- Hawaii state Property and Casualty Solicitor’s License required.
- Attainment of CPCU, CIC or other professional designation(s) preferred.
Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually
